Delivering the 2023-2024 Marketing Campaign to Bexhill College

The Brief

Bexhill College is the leading sixth form college in the East Sussex region. A key part of their yearly marketing strategy is a new creative theme and marketing campaign to inspire and excite prospective students, encouraging applications. This college marketing campaign will be delivered across all marketing channels, including the website, prospectus, advertisements, social media, school presentations, and open days.

The Concept

We conducted extensive research with a 16-19 age target audience to gather real-world insights. Social media trends and popular culture releases factored into our thinking – the theme must grab the attention of prospective students and stand apart from competitors. Our conclusion was the resulting theme design must be bold and colourful, with elements that translate to presentations and open days.

We presented the Bexhill College committee with a number of options. The selected Good Vibes only theme is heavily inspired by late 80’s / early 90’s TV/film aesthetic, it’s Malibu Barbie and Saved by the Bell and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. It’s vibrant colors, use of geometric shapes and patterns, neon and gradients. It’s bold, high-impact, high-speed FUN.

The Delivery

Bexhill College Good Vibes only launched July 2023 using an integrated, multichannel approach. We created impactful visual collateral; the prospectus, handbooks and signage, we designed and built the new Bexhill College website to showcase the brand positioning and course offerings. Billboard, bus stop and bus ads soon followed, supported by social media content. Finally, we crafted video and powerpoint presentations to ensure impactful introductions to prospective students. Post campaign, Bexhill College secured …. sixth form applications, a 20% rise year on year.
