The Brief

Bexhill College, a key sixth-form College in East Sussex, aims to inspire prospective students each year with innovative, engaging campaigns that reflect their commitment to excellence in education. The College marketing campaign 2024 is designed to attract and captivate prospective students, particularly in a competitive landscape where digital presence and brand identity are critical. As with each yearly rebrand, Bexhill College sought a memorable, visually impactful theme that communicates its ethos and dedication to student success across multiple touchpoints.

The Concept

Drawing on trends in media and emerging visual styles, we crafted a campaign centred around the theme Elevating Achievement. Our research indicated a shift towards aspirational, futuristic aesthetics among the 16-19 age demographic, with an emphasis on ambition and individual growth. This insight informed our design approach, merging sleek, sci-fi-inspired visuals with themes of personal elevation and academic excellence.

The campaign imagery showcases students in scenes that evoke a sense of “levitation”—symbolising their journey towards reaching new heights. By utilising bold, block sci-fi typography, we created an immersive experience that resonates with a generation deeply attuned to cutting-edge graphics and cinematic visuals. With a colour palette of metallic tones and cool blues, paired with deep space gradients, and contrasted by neon green, Elevating Achievement is designed to be bold, futuristic, and visually captivating.

The Delivery

The Elevating Achievement campaign launched in July 2024 through a robust multichannel strategy, ensuring a consistent brand experience across digital and physical platforms. We developed impactful assets including a refreshed prospectus, comprehensive signage, and a newly updated website that aligns with Bexhill College’s aspirational brand positioning. The campaign extended to high-visibility advertising with billboard placements, bus ads, and a dynamic social media rollout.

To support direct student engagement, we also produced a series of visually immersive video presentations and sci-fi-inspired PowerPoint decks, designed to be shown during open days and school presentations. The response from prospective students and parents has been overwhelmingly positive, with Bexhill College reporting a significant boost in applications.
